Similar to the MV1 Fanfiction Project and others before it, JLU 2001 is a collection of shared-continuity stories beginning after a certain point in DC continuity (specifically, after JLA #4). Based initially around the Justice League of America, the project has a number of ongoing and anthology series and always a number of projects in the making. These stories are written by fans, for fans, and the project is continually growing in size.

JLU 2001 is currently accepting proposals for new ongoing and mini-series, as well as stories for anthology titles, as always. If you are interested in writing something at JLU 2001, send proposals and plot outlines or just general ideas to Editor-in-Chief Curt Fernlund or Assistant Editor Kim Johnson. We will not accept all proposals, but all ideas are given a chance.

We suggest that any aspiring writers look at our current titles as well as the Character Dibs and Appearances List and the JLU 2001 Site Guidelines. The former will give you an idea of what characters are available for use, while the latter should tell you how things are run around here. All writers are required to subscribe to the JLU Mailing List, and we suggest any of our readers to do so as well to discuss the site or just comics in general.

In an effort to support the Heroes Fanfic Community as a whole and to promote the many underrated DC Websites out there, which get sometimes overwhelmed in the flood of Mutants and Gamma-spawned monstrosities, JLU: 2001, DC Anthology, DCInfinity, DC Legends and Faux DC have banded together to offer an alternative. Check out all the great Fanfic set in a DC Universe!  Links at Left...

Go! Read! Enjoy!

JLU: 2001, Vertigo: Subculture and Wildstorm are always taking proposals, so if you have a desire to come over to the other side send us your ideas.

And remember, if you like what you see, let us know. Our writers try really hard to give everyone some entertainment, so if you like a story- or even if you don't- drop 'em a line, write a review or just let them know that you read it...

And Happy Groundhog Day from all of us here at JLU: 2001!

Thanks...
